How to choose the best traders on Zulutrade?

The most critical part of managing your Zulutrade account is the traders selection.

Fortunately Zulutrade helps us with a quite sophisticated tool to select your best provider on the basis of a number of parameters.

To open the search engine you need to:
  1. select traders;
  2. click on advanced mode;
  3. select advanced search.
Traders Selection on Zulutrade
A new page will open with a lot of searching variables in order to find your best provider.

Signal Providers Search Engine

Signal providers' Search Engine

You can select providers that:

  • are in the top 100 Zulutrade ranking;
  • have been rated by followers;
  • are not trading exotics (owiptions);
  • have approved photo and description;
  • have live users;
  • traded within the last week;
  • have strategy description videos.
You can then filter your provider on the basis of a number of very important factors.

In the order of the figure above, these factors are:

  • Signal provider uses live account;
  • Signal provider uses a demo account and has a live account linked to his live account;
  • Trader that is operating on Zulutrade+ using Zuluscripts;
  • Trader that follow the FIFO (First opened first closed) rule and does not hedge;
  • Trader has a 4 star rating from users;
  • Trader that trades correlated currency with a natural hedging;
  • Signal provider that has been trading for more than 2 years (ZuluVeteran);
  • Trader that trades news (more risk associated);
  • Metatrader 4 Expert Advisor (Trading system that trades automatically);
  • Profitable Account;
  • Losing Account.

Then you can filter your traders, moving the bar from a min to a max on the basis of the:

  • number of running weeks;
  • maximum drawdown;
  • traders slippage with your broker /(you should select the preferred broker);
  • the average pips earned per trade;
  • the percentage of winning trades;
  • the percentage of the trader's trades that are of correlated currency pairs.

Again you can choose your trader on the basis of the pairs traded, and on the basis of broker used.

Finally you have probably the most important factors that will guarantee you an optimal selection of your traders:

  • numbers of pips earned;
  • maximum drawdown in pips;
  • worst trade;
  • best trade;
  • maximum open trades (you can limit the timeframe to 3,6 or 12 months);
  • NME - Minimum capital required to trade with this trader;
  • the total number of trades closed;
  • the number of followers;
  • the average trading time per trade;
  • the fact that the best trade is better or worse than the best trade.
You can see that the number of factors is really high. In fact you do not need to use all of them but simply look for that factors that are linked with your trading strategy and your trading rules.

In this way you should be able to find a panel of providers that you can test on a demo account before going live. In fact you do not know really how a provider works unless you study exactly its trading history and you test it on a live account.
